For students interested in a career in media, see below from the BBC:
Whichever point you’re at, our work taster programme could be the opportunity you need to help you with those next steps and decisions. You don’t need any previous experience to apply, but you’re going to get a great experience while you’re with us! Our ‘Get In’ taster day is designed to help you find out a bit more about the variety of career paths on offer and give you a first-hand feel of what the BBC is like as a place to work in your local area.
You will get the chance to spend the day with us at either BBC Northern Ireland or BBC Radio Foyle and see in person what it’s really like working in a media environment. It’s also an opportunity find out about a variety of jobs across the BBC, and hear from people who do some of those roles in the area in and around where you live.
If you like what you find, we hope you might consider one of our apprenticeships as the first step into your future media career. During your visit, we will show you what a BBC apprenticeship looks like and we’ll talk about the other opportunities open to you and walk you through the application process.
